Managing Director
Sattar Bawany
Sattar Bawany is the Managing Director & Country Head of DBM Singapore. In this leadership role, he has overall responsibility for sales, marketing, operations and delivery operations in Singapore. Sattar has over 25 years’ international business management experience, including 15 years in executive coaching, group facilitation, and leadership development and training.
Prior to joining DBM, Sattar assumed various roles as Regional Business Leader and Practice Head & Executive Coach with global human resource management consulting firms including Mercer Human Resource Consulting, The Hay Group and Forum Corporation.
Sattar holds an Executive MBA from Golden Gate University, US and a Bachelor in Business Administration (Marketing) from Curtin University, Australia. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Business Administration (Human Resource Management) with an Asian University and his Doctoral Research is on “The Impact of Executive Coaching on the Personal & Professional Development of Leaders”.
Sattar is a Fellow and Member of Management Council of The International Professional Managers Association (IPMA). He is also a Professional Member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD). He is a Practicing Member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), International Association of Coaching (IAC) and Asia Pacific Alliance of Coaches (APAC).

Chin Lee Yen
Chin Lee Yen is the Business Development Director of DBM Singapore. Lee Yen has over 15 years of local and regional business development experience across a diverse range of services such as talent development and strategic business intelligence. Lee Yen has lived and worked in China and various parts of South East Asia.
Lee Yen's talent development experience focused on developing leadership competencies and improving sales force effectiveness. She has a broad set of skills which allows her to lead a talent development initiative from conceptualisation to effective execution.
Lee Yen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the National University of Singapore and is certified in the administration and application of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator TM (MBTI).
Merle Chen
Merle Chen is the Business Development Manager for DBM Singapore. She has over 7 years’ experience in Business Development and Consulting in the Human Resources function; ranging from recruitment search and selection, career management as well as talent development, across various industries like Banking & Financial Services and Commerce.
Merle first started her career with a subsidiary of a European financial services company, where she managed the recruitment and talent management team. During her tenure, she piloted and implemented the Management Associate program as well as launched and delivered on-boarding and sales training programs for new hires.
She later joined Michael Page International as a Recruitment Consultant, where she managed and developed strategic key accounts and global client relationships in the Banking and Financial Services sector, partnering with organisations in their recruitment, search and selection strategies. In that role, she has worked with a range of organisational employee levels, from mid- level executives to senior management and has a proven track record of placing candidates in various functions.
Merle holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from the National University of Singapore.

Margaret Cermak
Margaret Cermak is the Director of Consulting Services for DBM Singapore. She is leading and managing a team of consultants in delivering quality service to individual clients and organizations. She has more than 10 years’ cross cultural Human Resource consulting, counseling and management experience.
Margaret's Human Resource specialty has primarily focused on career transition management and career development. She has extensive experience working with a wide range of organizational employee levels from entry-level staff to Senior Management in both areas of outplacement and internal redeployment. Her Human Resource portfolio of experience also includes recruitment, search and selection, compensation and benefits, on-boarding, coaching, learning and development and psychometric testing.
She holds a Bachelor of Business double major in HR and Management from Charles Sturt University, Australia and is also a graduate of Coach U’s Core Essentials program.

Sattar Bawany is also concurrently the Coaching Practice Lead, Asia.
Sattar joined DBM in February 2006 where he led the Transition Coaching Practice for Asia Pacific. Sattar works with organizations to develop HR and talent management strategies that are linked to their business strategy. His consulting experience is focused on the impact of leadership on employee engagement and business performance, leadership capability development, talent management strategies, the development of Human Resource strategy.
Sattar is an astute advisor to executives who need to know how they are perceived and want to focus on what is most important in their professional and personal lives. Sattar has coached a range of leaders, from CEOs, to senior vice presidents, and high potential managers. His current work in organizations focuses on encouraging individual initiative and leadership from a systemic perspective in order to achieve clearly defined business results.
Sattar is a Graduate of Corporate Coach U and a Licensed Coaching Clinic Facilitator. He is certified in the administration and application of various psychometric instruments including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator™ (MBTI), MRG’s suite of instruments including “Leadership Effectiveness Analysis™” (LEA 360 Assessment tool) and “Strategic Leadership Development” and BarOn Emotional Quotient Inventory EQ-i® and EQ-360®
He is regular speaker at international and regional Conferences and his articles on Strategic HRM, and Talent Management has been widely published in local, regional and international publications.
